My name is Irina Allison, I am a broker -owner of APEX Real Estate Brokerage. When I started my career as a Realtor in 2004, after spending a year working for one of the largest midwest real estate firms, I decided I could do it way better on my own. I needed more freedom in my marketing. I wanted my cell phone number on my real estate signs, not an 1-800 that went to the company when a potential buyer called me. Afterall, who knew my listing better – Was it a newbie agent on a floor duty answering calls that day OR me, who met with the seller, walked the property grounds, measured the house and knew if the house backed into a pond, road or another house? I disagreed with the way business was done…It was impersonal claiming to be personal, it was GENERIC for me! I knew I could do it BETTER, with more quality, integrity, wider outreach and a luxury touch of hospitality I’ve learned during my 5 year hotel career.
So, in 2006, I left the generic midwest firm and went into business on my own out of my home in Joliet…. In 2008 – APEX Real Estate Brokerage was born and a bit later I bought an office location of my own borrowing money from my own mother and father in law, two most stubborn people I know! Friends and family were asking – what “APEX” meant and why I named my business that way? apex • \AY-peks\ • noun. : the peak, the highest point or most successful part of something I envisioned my company providing the best, highest level of service, that’s where the name came from. In 2007-2008, when the real estate market was tanking and foreclosures were flooding the market, I was building my clientele. Helping homeowners sell their properties via a short sale process, preserving the equity they had in their homes, perfecting my house hunting skills, assisting investors in buying properties at low point, flipping and building rental portfolios was where I was developing my expertise. All while buyers had hundreds of homes to choose from. It was a very, very intense time.
Today, 20 years after getting my 1st real estate license and starting a real estate firm, APEX Real Estate Brokerage evolved into a full service residential real estate firm offering real estate services such as purchasing, selling, leasing and investing. We have helped hundreds of sellers make amazing returns when selling their properties, we assisted hundreds of homebuyers and investors negotiate amazing deals; we helped hundreds create family legacies building investment portfolios that substituted incomes from their 9-5 jobs, WE HELPED MANY FAMILIES GET OUT OF DEBT AND PROSPER!
As a 19 year old girl who came to the US not speaking English in 1997, I am BEYOND PROUD of where I am today and what my business has accomplished! I am WAY beyond where I even imagined to be…and I am NOT even halfway done yet!
